Zac Efron may have stolen the show at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards. Efron was up for the award for Best Shirtless Performance at the award show, and he kept his promise to take his shirt off if he won.

It all started because Efron had an unlikely admirer on the set of his new film, Neighbors. Seth Rogen said he was impressed by the fellow actor's body.

He seemed mystified that Efron would work out before filming many scenes in the film. Efron agreed, and explained that sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

"It's kind of embarrassing, but you do push-ups before a shirtless scene," Efron said.

Rita Ora and Jessica Alba presented the award for Best Shirtless Performance, and Ora said whoever won should really grace the audience with their chest. After Efron won, he got up to the stage but didn't look like he was going to take his shirt off. As he started to give his speech, Ora ran back out to "help" him unbutton.

Efron’s speech was actually cut short because of the audience, but before they switched scenes, he was thanking "my fam…"

He then made sure to take the rest of his shirt off, and he seemed to keep it off for quite a while after.

The 2014 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night were filled with many awkward moments and some viewers were left feeling thankful that the award show only comes around once a year.

The Other Woman costars Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann, Kate Upton and Nicki Minaj took to the Nokia Theatre stage to present the Best Male Performance award, and Diaz and Mann tried very hard to look sexy while introducing the award.

The pair was giggling, speaking in sultry voices, twirling their hair and making crude suggestions. In our opinion, the whole introduction was not very sexy, but rather forced, fake and just downright awkward.

The four women presented the nominees for the award: Bradley Cooper, Leonardo DiCaprio, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Matthew McConaughey and Josh Hutcherson. And while Mann and Diaz's descriptions of Cooper, DiCaprio and Ejiofor fell flat, Minaj saved the night with her message to McConaughey.

"Matthew McConaughey, I have a pair of bongos you can play," The "Starships" hit maker said.

Jessica Alba added some humor to the evening, although she had not intended to do so. When announcing the name for Best Shirtless Performance, the Sin City actress slipped up and pronounced the winner Zac Efron as Zac Ee-fron. Although, luckily for Alba, her gaffe was quickly forgotten after Rita Ora ripped off Efron's shirt to leave his impressive abs on display.

The world loves Seth Rogen for his comedic wit, but did he cross the line when he kissed his "mother" onstage at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday?

Before introducing the Best Kiss nominees Seth Rogen, Dave Franco and Zac Efron decided to hold a live kiss-off featuring three audience members. However, while Rogen's fellow presenters managed to nab some good-looking audience members, the Pineapple Express actor got his "mother."

Rogen shouted in to the crowd, "Wait a minute, that's my mom! Mom, no! Go back to your seat, Mom!" But his "mom" was not planning on heading back to her seat anytime soon and the pair engaged in a smooch.

Mark Wahlberg left the crowd feeling a little awkward when he accepted his award for the Generation trophy and he let the crowd know just what he thought about it in an acceptance speech laden with F-bombs.

"I know what this really means… this is the you're-too-f***ing-old-to-come-back award," Wahlberg quipped.

"This is not the Channing-Tatum-you're-dancing-around-chicks-want-you award. This is the you're-f***ing-done award. But look, it was a great run." And those were just a few of the very colorful words that Wahlberg choose to describe his award.

However, even if Marky Mark's acceptance speech was not very appropriate, it was at times rather humorous and he did mention that he was lucky to be married to his wife, which was a bit of an "awww" moment.

At the risk of outing myself as an eternal pessimist, news of a televised Zac Efron striptease didn't exactly ring my dinner bell with excitement.

Last night during the 2014 MTV Movie Awards ceremony, the High School Musical actor was nominated for — and won — Best Shirtless Scene for his performance in That Awkward Moment. During his brief acceptance speech, presenter Rita Ora crept up behind him and tore off his conveniently snap-off denim shirt.

Underneath? A perfectly chiseled six-pack and a spray tan that couldn't possibly have been more than three hours young.

In 2004, Janet Jackson headlined the Super Bowl XXXVIII halftime show, which featured a heavily choreographed routine with pop star Justin Timberlake. The incident, often referred to as Nipplegate, resulted in immeasurable backlash and triggered the disintegration of Jackson’s professional life.

Jackson bore the weight of the blame while Timberlake weaseled out of accountability. Most media outlets blacklisted the "All For You" singer, and thus she was never able to rise from the pile of dust and rubble that consumed her career. Her last hit single, "Someone To Call My Lover," was released in 2001. Meanwhile, the "Suit and Tie" singer has moved over 10 million albums worldwide and is currently headlining the 20/20 Experience World Tour.

Neighbors costars Zac Efron and Halston Sage are reportedly dating after they began seeing each other while filming their new movie.

Efron may have displayed his sexy abs to all his fans at the MTV Movie Awards, but the well-sculpted hunk is reportedly off the market and in a relationship with the pretty actress, E! News reported. "They are definitely an item," a source told the site.

Neighbors star Zac Efron raised more than a few eyebrows after getting into a fight on skid row with a homeless man in the middle of the night a few weeks ago — many fans were afraid the actor had relapsed after two recent rehab stints. But the star says he was just looking for a place to eat.

Efron explained how it all went down in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

"I had a friend come pick me up late at night — we were looking for a place downtown to get a bite and catch up," he said. "We were having trouble finding somewhere — a lot of places were closed — and the car ran out of gas off the 110 freeway.

"It was ridiculous. We had to pull over, and I called Uber. A homeless guy, or vagrant, tapped on the driver's-side window. Before I knew it, he [the friend] was out of the car, and they started fighting. I saw that [the homeless man] was carrying some sort of a knife, or shank, and I got out of the car to disarm him. At some point, he dropped the knife, and I got hit pretty hard in the face — and almost instantly the police were there to break up the fight."

Efron said that his newfound sobriety is somewhat tenuous but that AA has saved his life.

"I just started going [to meetings]. And I think it's changed my life. I'm much more comfortable in my own skin. Things are so much easier now," he said, adding that his addiction is a "never-ending struggle.

"I was drinking a lot, way too much," he said, also acknowledging drug use. "It's never one specific thing. I mean, you're in your 20s, single, going through life in Hollywood, you know? Everything is thrown at you. I wouldn't take anything back; I needed to learn everything I did. But it was an interesting journey, to say the least.

"When you have success young and you accept the good things, you have to accept all of it. You have to accept the moments of glory but also a great responsibility. And that responsibility, to some degree, involves being a role model. At the same time, I'm a human being, and I've made a lot of mistakes. I've learned from each one."

Well, it's definitely a look, but one that isn't so pretty. On Tuesday night on The Tonight Show, Zac Efron and Seth Rogen joined the recurring "Ew!" sketch with Jimmy Fallon playing TeenNick host, Sara Wallace.

The sketch kicked off with Sara introducing her BFF, Allison Donnelly, played by Rogen.

Allison sat on the couch and proceeded to dish on her day, "My mom gave me her credit card so I stopped by Starbucks on the way here".

Sara responded, "Ew! What did you get?"

"A venti soy Cinnamon Dolce Crème Frappuccino!" Allison said.

And what about that whipped cream? "Ew!" she told Sara. "Of course!"

Efron, playing Brittany Anderson, came into the sketch a few minutes later to talk about her new camera so the group could take some selfies.

Brittany shared, "I'm actually super excited right now because I just got this new phone and it has an amazing camera. It's got, I think, like, eight megapixels—so it's like perfect for selfies! I've been taking them all day!"

The group of gals posed for some selfies with the all-important Instagram duck lips. The sketch continues on to include a dance party, a nerdy stepdad and a lightning round of "Ew!"

Journalist Joe Michalczuk just raised the bar for new husbands everywhere by getting some A-list names to give congrats to his new wife. The entertainment reporter asked the celebs to send a shout out to his wife, Jenny, and he obviously spent months compiling the video — based on the promotional dates of some of the films he was interviewing about.

"Make sure that you and your wife watch a sunset at least once a day," Burrell said.

Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy also shared their well wishes — or at least their wishes.

"You know, I would drop Jenny in a second, in an instant, if you would marry me, Piggy," Michalczuk joked while sitting down with the Muppets.

"Jenny, Jenny run for the hills OK? This guy is no good," Miss Piggy replied. "He's not good for you!"

Anne Hathaway, Samuel L. Jackson and Kate Winslet all found unique ways to congratulate Jenny and Joe on their marriage.

"Jenny, I dreamed a dream you'd marry Joe," Hathaway said while promoting her film, Rio 2.

"Jenny, Laurence Fishburne wishes you a happy wedding day," Jackson said. "Don't forget the prenup."

The pair appears to be having a great time boating with pal, Gianluca Vacchi, who they have been vacationing with for about a week and a half in Sardinia. Vacchi has been sharing Instagram videos of the friends on holiday throughout the trip.

At one point in the photos, Rodriguez is even seen laying on Efron's chest while he strokes her hair and kisses her forehead. The two don't seem shy at all with some PDA as they're cuddling up to one another in plain view of friends.

Thirty-five-year-old Rodriguez made headlines last October by openly discussing her bisexuality with Entertainment Weekly. "I've gone both ways," the actress said. We're pleased these two are friends because they share similar interests: Both were teen heartthrobs and are now trying to shed their earlier images. Oh, did we mention they're also both young, talented and seriously good-looking?

1. For starters, she's kind of coming off like a bad influence.

We all remember when Efron sought treatment in early 2013 to get help with the alcoholism and substance abuse he'd been struggling with. By our count, he'd been sober for around six months before hooking up with Rodriguez — who, with multiple DUIs, arrests and alcohol programs of her own, should probably be steering clear of such stuff as well.

However, the two have already been seen dancing the night away at clubs and partying it up elsewhere. If they keep dating, he's going to have to muster up every ounce of willpower he's got to stay sober.

2. It seems as though he's chasing the ghost of a certain girlfriend past.

Although Efron and his ex-Vanessa Hudgens have not been broken up longer than they were even dating, we've still always suspected she was the "one that got away" for him. The fact that he is now courting Rodriguez only solidifies our suspicion — with their pretty olive complexions, jet black hair and trademark sultry eyes, Rodriguez and Hudgens could be related. Perhaps Efron really hasn't ever been able to move on. (And if you believe the tabloids, Hudgens is still harboring a flame for him, too.)

3. Efron just isn't Rodriguez's type.

When Rodriguez really rose to fame with the first installment of Fast and the Furious, she got cozy with her co-star Vin Diesel. After they had broken it off, she was linked to her S.W.A.T. co-star Olivier Martinez. And let's be real — Efron is a pretty boy. A very, very pretty boy. OK, he's fine. We said it. His appeal, though, is certainly different from the appeal of macho men like Diesel and Martinez.

Age shouldn't matter, and true love is timeless, and yeah, yeah... we know. But still. Rodriguez just turned 36, and Efron is 26. Since we all know men are emotionally less mature than women, you've gotta tack a few years onto the age difference to account for that. It's a sizable gap for any couple to overcome, and one that could be exacerbated by the constant scrutiny involved with being in the public eye.

5. Their stars simply don't align.

If you believe in astrology at all, you're probably already on board with our theory that Efron and Rodriguez lack in the compatibility department. Born on Oct. 18, Efron is a Libra. Rodriguez, who was born on July 12, is a Cancer. While the two signs could share some sweet moments, they are far from a perfect match. Because Cancer is a deeply emotional sign prone to mood fluctuations while Libra is a laid-back sign who just likes to go with the flow, conflict is inevitable. Better pack it in now, lovebirds.

Efron joined Grylls for his show, Running Wild, and admitted he got to a point in his life where all he cared about was partying.

"You can have some real challenges, and I know, you know, you were very honest about when you went to rehab and stuff," Grylls said to Efron, according to the Mirror. "What kind of led down that road?"

"The challenging part was never the work, you know, that was never it," Efron replied. "It's sort of the inbetween.

"The social aspects outside of it, I mean everywhere you go to a certain extent, there is press of some form. I mean whether you're going out to an event, where you're supposed to be out with friends, there will be press there, if you are leaving your house to go to the grocery store, there will be press there."

Although Efron never admitted exactly what his vice was, he explained that the pressure of his celebrity — plus feeling alone — was what eventually led him to want to get help.

After rehab, Efron attended Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and began seeing a therapist, and he appears to be on the mend.

He shared, "The few times me and my buddies went to the strip clubs, it's because whatever happened at the night club wasn't enough. There's this one called Sapphire, which feels like WrestleMania. There's sparkling lights, and they walk down two flights of stairs, and they're like, 'And stepping into the ring is Camaro!' I like Vegas. I like a good pool party. I'm from Florida. I love being out in the sun with my friends and drinking."

That's not his only walk on the wild side; Teller experimented with the magic blue pill that makes many men very happy. It was on his Vegas trip that he tried Viagra.

"Uh, yeah. I've taken it before. You know, curiosity killed the cat. It's a bigass pill," he said. "My buddy in Vegas gave me one. Another crazy moment in his career is dealing with the groupies of his That Awkward Moment co-star, Zac Efron. He explained how devoted they are to the High School Musical alum,

"We were doing this Q&A up in San Francisco, and this one girl stands up and says, 'I'm 26 years old. My husband said it was okay if I give you a hug. Can I just touch you?' Even these women that have husbands are freaking out if they can touch Zac."

Teller is gearing up for a big 2015, with the Fantastic Four reboot and the second installment of the Divergent franchise, Insurgent.

Efron had expressed interest in being involved in the project during an interview with Magic 105.4 FM. "We haven't really talked about it. I mean, I love Channing [Tatum]. Magic Mike was an awesome movie... I mean, who knows. It looks like fun."

When Efron's name was brought up during Tatum's interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the actor snuck a peek over his shoulder. "Yeah, sexy man," he said of shirtless Efron.

Aside from Efron, Tatum also said that Chris Pratt would have been a perfect addition to the film. The two starred together in the romantic comedy, 10 Years. Pratt has gotten himself into amazing shape for his recent role in Guardians of the Galaxy, but was unable to appear in Magic Mike because he was filming episodes of his show, Parks and Recreation.

"And he looks great right now," DeGeneres commented.

To which Tatum agreed, "Aw, he looks amazing."

Tatum is also getting into amazing shape for Magic Mike XXL, after previously describing himself as, "fappy," aka fat and happy. No one can blame the actor for letting himself go this past year. He's been more focused on spending time with his family — his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, and their 1-year-old daughter, Everly.

We're sure Tatum is a great dad, but there's one thing you can bet his fatherly time with Everly doesn't include: playing dolls.

During the same interview with DeGeneres, Tatum admitted he has a fear of the toys. And who can blame him after you see the dolls DeGeneres brought to the table. That is the stuff of nightmares.
